coloration shifts?

Does any know or experieneced a clam shifting coloration the way some corals do under different lighting regimes? I have a young Maxima clam that was a strong blue when purchased and over the past 6 months appears to have some green creeping around the edges of the mantle.
Is this coincidence (did the clam always have the design for green), or can lighting affect the fluorescing pigments as in corals?

Yes, it is quite common for them to undergo some degree of color change when lighting changes. The outcome is far from predictable, though.
