Coloring up BTA, feed or no feed

I have about 5 different BTAs in my tank. They are under Kessil 360WE. 4 of them are great. 1 of them took over a month to fully adapt and lost lots of color in the process. It's not bleached. It looks darker and browner. very brown now. I saw the BTA releasing zoo nightly for 2 weeks.

Question: in order to bring anemone color back, should I supplement weekly feeding?

I read in different posts that feeding will actually darken the anemones. Is this true or not?

thanks!

Typically anemones expel zoox from excess energy/light. So is it possible that your BTA is getting too much light and is browning out as a result of that?

any luck? im in a similar situation

I haven't done any drastic measures yet. just letting it be. It wasn't taking in food before but now it accepts mysis. But I don't want to feed much yet, afraid it's still abit weak. it went through zoo expelling for 3-4 weeks until it finally settling in.

it might be.. I have my Kessils running at 95% max during the day for few hrs then ramp down. However, all my other BTAs are in the same spots and loving it. So I'm not sure if i want to mess with lighting schedule.. I'll ask around other kessil users for their settings.

I ran my Kessil A350 at 30%-40% on a 24 inch tall tank with RBTAs at the bottom of the tank. It did great. Here's a video of it.

Wow, you're running your kessils at 95%? I also have BTA's in my 180 gallon which runs 3 360wes and it caps at 50% intensity and 80% color for 6 hours. I tried a higher setting before thinking it wouldn't be too bad since some of them came from my 100, but they ended up bleaching and are only now recovering.

Bleaching as in turning white? Or darker?

I run it at almost max because i was getting 100 par on sand bed. Around 400 at water surface. my sps were not growing at all. Clam was dying. I lowered the light a little toward the tank.. around 8" away. now they are better.

I ramp kessils from 20% to 95%.. stays at 95 for 2hrs during noon and ramps down to 20 again.

Bleaching as in turning white and expelling tons of Zooxanthellae. I'm not sure what to say about your par readings but the do seem oddly low for 95%, perhaps someone else can chime in to make sure.
