Coloring up my Nukes

I've tried to search, but I can't...
Anyways, I got a frag of nuke greens that have lost a little of their color. What are my options as far as coloring them back up? I know about feeding them, which I'm going to start doing tomorrow, but where should they be height wise in my tank? It's a 75G with 4 VHO's, 2 of which are Super Actinics. Should they be towards the top, or farther down?

always start new polyps all the way in the bottom of the tank.
Then every couple of weeks, you can move them up a couple inches till you reach the desired height.

I place mine 2/3rds up with 8 T5s, but now with a 250 mh. it's only 1/4th up since its directly under the MH.

Alright, I've got mine on the sandbed right now. Once I start moving them up though, would you expect them to begin changing to the stereotypical bright green? If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll post a pic. Thanks

Mine used to look like this but much brighter.

But since the tank crash, they're still recooperating.

See now xerog those are the same colors as the zoas and palys I saw at my local lfs. And they had MH I believe because it shimmered like crazy. Every zoa and paly in your pic have the same coloring as the ones at my lfs. *scratches head*

I've got 4 VHO's over my 75 gallon, two of which are super actinics. They were this color when I bought them, now I just gotta nurse them back to what they're supposed to look like. I'm going to move them up some today, and see if I can't feed them coral frenzy and mysis shrimp, alternating through the week.

MOve them up in increments of a few inches per week. I turn off all my water movement during feeding ( 10-15mins ) to allow all polyps and LPS to consume whats in their mouths. But that's just me.

That's the same method I use when I feed my corals in my 30 gallon, Coral Frenzy is so light, the corals don't have a chance to grab it if the powerheads are on... I'm going to try what you mentioned, and I'll post the progress as it goes along. Thanks for your help

I'm having similar problems, although mine aren't washed out, really, but more of a dark army green. Do they need more light? I have a 20" deep tank with a 150w Phoenix 14k. They are a few inches up from the bottom.

Seems Nuke' greens and purple deaths are tricky little suckers. Mine are all the way at the bottom of my little 5.5 nano, under a current USA Dual Satellite 2x18 PC light and they are flat out bleached almost white....makes my heart sad. Trying to give them alitte shade and and hoping to get their color back.
