The new and improved COMAS donor program is now open.

Remember you have to be registered with COMAS website to access. The address to register is www.mycomas.com

The new threads are all arranged very nicely by type and by species.

Please take a moment to read the program rules are there are a few alterations, most significant is the "Rule of FIVE". this is a way for us to ensure frags are being spread. The description is in the rules section.

Please go look, and add your name to any coral you would like to sponsor.

Simply hit reply and ask to be added. We will then add you into the want list. No need to copy and paste.

WE have also included propagation tips as well.

Also............please let us know how the current frags you have are doing. You can search this forum, just enter your RC name or first name for a full list of threads you are in.

If you have a coral that has died, let us know.

If it is ready to frag let us know.

Simply report what you want by replying to each thread.


This has been a huge task....collectively we have spent well over 300 hours on this. I hope you like it.

Remember.....no need to copy and paste the have want list.....just say "add me to the list"......and we will do that.

Also, I would like your feed back.

----plus any pictures of YOUR frags from this program ...I really want this to be an educational tool so that other people will be able to grow the donor corals.

yeah....I saw that...hence my post. No problem really.. Now we have admin rights over the new forum we can just take your post, add your name to the the want list and delete your post. Keeps it nice and simple.

All information pertinent to the administration of the frag program will be in the first two posts of any thread. Post 1, description. Post 2, have/want lists.

Posts with information will be kept though.

Where do we send pictures of corals we have on the donor list or should we just post them in the donor thread?
 
those just post as a reply, we will reformat them, and add them to the gallery of pics.

We would love to see growth of a frag over time etc.

The more information we can get the better, such as tank conditions, lights ..all of that.

An excellent job. This should not only make the program more manageable, but user friendly for potential sponsors. Thanks to all who obviously put alot of work into this program.
 
Yes, and we have more enhancements in store based on the forum. Nothing to fancy, but more things about making it more manageable, trackable, and then some usability enhancements.
 
DJC, the "time" is set by each user. Go into your profile and change it to local time. Mine is local.
 
For new donations does the leadership want individuals to start new threads or submit them to those over the donor program so they can categorize them and format them? Also is there a minimum number of frags to start a donor coral?

Send any new corals to timV.

the more frags you have the better.

TimV will advise on what else he needs to get a thread started.
