Good luck, I've been digging for 2 years and still can't find it. I think he moves it to the last hole I was digging in to keep me confuseded, and then laughs at me. Beside you don't want to eat his Barb-que he only pretend grills on one of those GAS burnner's that shaped like a Barb-que pit. You won't find a bag of Kingsford any where at his house.
P.S. If he post a pic of me grilling on his fake pit, let me explain it.
I was trying to get MY food off of it!!! They took my food off of the webber and placed it on the fake pit (That Gas burnner thingy of his) which forced me to recue my food!!

It's gotta be charcoal for anything more than a burger or hotdog...

Nah. I can do killer BBQ on a gas grill. The secret is to just light the burner on one side, put the meat on the other side, and use a big cast iron pan filled with soaked apple chips over the lit burner. (It's much easier to keep a steady 220ish temp with a gas grill)
Ribs, Boston Butt, chicken, etc. all come out awesome.
(add oak chips for venison; soak apple chips in wine and use with fish; for a real treat, add a little Irish peat to apple for duck breasts)

I'd grill you under the table my man.My food would still be better. You are right about one thing though. Your BBQ would be killer, Killer on the taste buds in a bad way!!:eek1:
With a good quality charcoal you don't need the chips, and spreading the coals and cooking with frequent turning cooks the meat quite evenly.Originally posted by MayoBoy

yeah I'd throw down the tongs
although Id never do it personally, I can see what mayo is talking about keeping the temp stable
I lack experience with bone-in chicken, so wings and legs would be rough for me, but IM good with ribs

If you're lookin', you ain't cookin'.
Grilling - fast cooking on direct heat
BBQ - slow cooking with indirect heat and smoke
