Is there any difference between an IceCap 250W MH electronic ballast for a SE and an HQI DE?

thanks
Keith

I would ask IceCap directly. As far as I know, you can run any bulb on the electronic ballast, as long as the wattage match (250w ballast, 250 bulb).

Hi Kieth,

How's the build going? Are you/will you continue to post about it here or in another thread? LMK so I can subscribe to that thread as well!

Looking forward to tank shots with the new lens.

Thanks Guys, I'll shoot an email to IceCap.

I got the new lens today, but I also have a major project due for my Master's tomorrow night so no time to play tonight. Hopefully this weekend.

Joe,
the remodel is coming along nicely. Whole house heat and AC is in, new roof is on, drywall on all new spaces is done, scratch coat of stucco is on today, and they start the mudding of the drywall Friday. then it is just finishing stuff, which will take at least another month and a half.

I have a bunch of pictures, I'll try to get some up this weekend.

Cool.. glad to hear it's going well! Best wishes on your deadline.

There's only a few threads I regularly check here and yours in one of them.

thanks for the compliment,

Unfortunately I haven't haven't had time to clean the glass on the tank lately, let alone update the thread, or breath!! :)

Soon though.

Congrats Steve on the Oregon tort I love mine.

I snapped a few shots with the new Macro lens last night and I will have to pull out the tripod to get anything good. Maybe this weekend.

I got some mini ice cube trays, 1/2" cubes and semi thawed the food I made and refroze it in the trays I take some pics this weekend as well.

I know, I know, I need to go through Melev's site about taking pictures. I can't seem to get a decent one in the tank. The lens rocks outside the tank, but I need to make some adjustments when taking pics of the tank. Sorry.

Wow! I hadn't realized that it has been this long since I posted. Life has been really crazy lately.

I have a few small tips of some SPS turing brown lately. It doesn't seem to be spreading. Going to do some bigger water changes this weekend. And cut off the tips in hopes of stopping the brownness. Also going to get a small powerhead and blow off the rocks and clean out some of the crap.

Haven't had time to work with the new lens, hopefully soon.

Well as promised I got off my a$$ and took a few pictures of the remodel.

Right after they tore up the driveway.

This is where I going to build the future fishroom (green line), it's about 8'x3.5' area. The vent (into the crawl space) has been drywalled but is an easy punch through to run plumbing to the tank and back. The window is now gone.

The new garage and front porch. I really like how we tied the new garage into the house just like the front bedroom. It makes it look like it was original. The stuff on the porch will go in the garage when were done.

The back of the house. Right after they ripped off the back of the old garage. You can see the old kitchen window and the old back door. The area between the back door and the garage used to be a small stoop with steps down to the garage and the backyard. Now it is a laundry room and outside storage.

The back during construction. The French doors go into the new Master Bedroom. The other door leads into the Laundry room

Inside the Laundry room. The cabinet is for the Laundry room sink. The washer and dryer are straight across from the sink. We're having California Closets come in and put in a Laundry Organizing system next to the sink.

The old kitchen window turned into this.

And the hall to get to the new Master.
