I won't be able to take any pictures until Friday. Master's classes last night and tonight, graduation on Wednesday night. This week is crazy.

I changed out 2 gallons of water in the hospital tank, rising the salinity to 1.011. Both Gramma and Citron seem to be doing much better, no more heavy breathing and they are swimming around more.

So it could be that I reduced something in the water that I am not testing for or the slightly higher salinity have helped them. I am leaning toward the first thought. It doesn't make sense to me that that small of a change in salinity could have that much of an effect. Or maybe it was a slight drop in any ammonia even though it tested at <0.25 (Salifert).

I am going to change out another two gallons with fresh RODI and drop the salinity back down and see if they get stressed again. Now that I just typed that sentence, it seems cruel. Maybe I'll just leave them alone, they do have just six more days of hypo.

the Royal Gramma and Citron Goby seem to be better in the hospital tank. Swimming around like they were on vacation.

I am still not sure whether it was the raise in Salinity or the drop in something else with a water change that helped but at least they are doing better.

I have close to 30 species of corals in the tank so far, really starting to fill out and be interesting. Again Pictures on Friday.

I am thinking of ditching one of my fish.
This guy.

He does nothing but chase and harass the other fish. He is way smaller than most. Yesterday morning when the lights came on he was harassing one of the Cardidals until it was dead. I have a feeling that it this fish that killed my Blenny and helped the Kole along that path as well. I really wanted a peaceful tank, so I think he has got to go.

I love this fish but I had read about there aggressiveness and that is why I didn't get one. After my YT started harassing everyone I decided no more aggressive fish. They are too hard to catch!

Unknown Tan thing. It is one of the seven I got from a Local Reefer.

Xenia. I had a huge xenia, but it disappeared the day before the upgrade. I have three of four very small clumps of xenia now. This is the biggest of them.

I caught and got rid of the super agressive fish. Tank is doing well so far. Everything seems to be growing and looks healthy.

The Oregon tort is ruely beautiful! With all of your new additions I would love to see a full tank shot.

I know it may not be the best "sand" to use, but I like the look of it in the tank. It is about half fine live sand, and half bigger crush coral type stuff. There is only about 1/2" on the bottom.

I will try a full tank shot tonight. There are quite a few windows in the living room, so getting the full tank during the day is hard.

Well, I guess my full tank shots aren't too impressive.

My OM Squirt has been sticking on one outlet for the past month or so. I ordered a new drum, 2 outlets at a time. problem fixed.:thumbsup:

I haven't had good luck with fish. I have the Royal Gramma and Citron Goby in the hospital tank and they will be back in in a few days. I lost my Scooter Blenny, a Kole Tang, and recently 5 Cardinals.

I'm a lot gun shy of more fish. Oddly corals are supposed to be harder to keep, but I have had great luck with the corals.

I had a similar run with fish. I lost 2 Powder Blues, a Flasher Wrasse, and a Lavender Tang all in about a 2 month period. Since I have had a Powder Brown, an Orange Spot Goby and 2 Mandarins do just fine.
