Come with me on my Custom 77 Gallon setup

I have posted on their forum and we'll see.

At least it failed at a time when I could find a temporary fix. It could have easily failed when I wasn't there and then the consequences could have been very bad.

I love the idea of a computer controlled tank. However, computers always run the risk of failure. I hate how technology has its limits.

I agree - I wonder how hard it would be to make a tank as bulletproof as possible. Assume any one single or combination of items fail and what the results would be...

bulletproof=impossible

Bulletproof does not equal impossible but it does equal very very expensive $$$$$$

You just need at least two back up system for every system. three return pumps, three CL pumps. the second would only go on if the first failed. Etc, Etc.

that would be a lot of work.

I figured out what went wrong with the Reefkeeper 2.

My 500 W Finnex heater shorted out and blew out channel 1 on the RK2 and then blew the fuse.

I need to send both the heater and the RK2 back the their manufacturers. The RK2 is going to cost around $20 to fix plus shipping. The heater is still under warranty so that should be free.

Man do I hate heaters. :mad2: :uzi: :furious: :blown:

On another note. I just noticed that the Red Bugs are back on my Tri-Color Acro.:mad2:

they don't seem to like any of my other corals. Good thing I still have some Interceptor.

I will post about the treatment later. Poker Tournament today!!

Off Topic Bees

Off Topic Bees

So I came home today to find these under my mailbox.

Kind of freaked me out until I remembered that swarming bees won't really hurt you unless you start bashing them with baseball bats. :D

Pretty cool to see though :D

Well, I guess you'll have some fresh honey if you can get up the gonads to take it from them

So post some more pictures of that hive!

Keith,

Just got a sixline yesterday as he's awesome - cruising the rockwork and getting into every little nook. Does yours eat prepared foods or just eat off the rocks?

Mine is a little hog!! He'll eat anything I put in the tank, plus he cruises over every nook and cranny. He is one of a favorite fish.

Congrats on the new fish.
