Come with me on my Custom 77 Gallon setup

The mandarins are doing well, as is the Rainford's Goby. I got my heater fixed free from Finnex so there must have been some thing wrong. I got a control from them and have put that in between the heater and the RK2 to try and help protect the RK2.

On a completely off topic subject. Click on the link below it is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time.

Hope everyone is laughing.

That is just hysterical! I don't know which is funnier though - the drug warning link you posted or Evan (Quicksilver) and Marc (Melev) doing their Eminem impersonation for one of the Reefcast intros. Well, I think people outside of reefing will say it was the link you posted - especially some of my old college friends:)

thanks for sharing.

Finally found time to clean the tank, cleaned every square inch of glass and did a ten gallon water change.

Have a bit of RTN on my original acro. Have to wait and see.

Also got a couple of new frags. I'll get pics in the next couple of days.

I think it is time for an update with pictures.

And now some fish!!

The Male Mandarin is doing great. Cruises over all the rocks, snacking and no one bugs him.

The Female Mandarin on the other hand is forced to stay inside this cave. The Six-Line will go after her all the time. I am thinking about grabbing her and putting her in the fuge. Lots o' Pods.

Hope you all enjoyed the show.

Great photos.

This maybe a dumb question but how are you mounting your sps to the LR? I'm thinking of getting my first sps frags within the next month or two and was wondering since they're different that LPS that normally come on a piece of LR and can be moved if needed. I've heard about drilling holes in the LR so you fit an appropriate plug into it - but I don't know if I want to take LR out every time I want to mount a frag.

I just use Super Glue Gel. Dry off the base of the frag, apply a good blob, then press the coral to your rockwork and don't let go for at least 60 seconds.

It is easier to mount it on a rock you've taken out of the tank, but if you can't move a boulder, this will work.

Sorry Keith, don't mean to hijak the thread.
- Melev easy enough. But I guess you have to be pretty sure of where you want in on the LR because you wouldn't be able to move it afterwards? Or do you snap it off and stick again in a new spot?

Or you can glue it to a pice of live rock rubble. Then you can find a place where it will stay put. Then you can move it later if you want to.

I have had a lot of frags glued to small LR rubble fall or get knocked off by snails, etc that I just glue the frags right to the LR.

I use the method that melev discribed and it works great. Nothing is stuck so well that you can't snap it off if you need to move it.

Thanks guys,
I am really liking the look of the tank lately. It is amazing how long it takes from setting up the tank to getting how you want it. Not that this part is over but :)

Keith

Tank looks great! Really like that white acro and the grape [D] drooling [D].

I like the sailfin as well, one of my favorite tangs next to the convict (I know I like the boring color fish  ).
