I'm doing a 24" deep 150 DAS with 645 watts of PCs...inputs please.

Thanks!

Not a good idea, IMO.

And why PC?

And what corals do you want to keep?

I was thinking of doing mushrooms, zoa's, paly's, leathers, daisy's and maybe a euphilia up top.

Should be okay...right?????

I think you'll be fine

I think so. I know a guy who used to have a killer tank with PC's. It was LPS, mushrooms, and softies. No SPS, but everything else and the tank was awesome. I don't know why people think they are so bad. If you have good quality water and good husbandry they will work just fine, IME.

It's like a cheap MH, minus the intensity. PC's = no bulb selection. PC's = little water penetration compared to T5's. They're no where near as effective as T5's. More wattage + more heat - for less penetration and less color selection.

Just doesn't seem worth buying now-a-days.

No one is saying that PC's are bad. They are just limited and there are better/more efficient choices out there. However they work just fine for certain applications.
