compatability of banded pipefish and six-line wrass?

I just brought home a six-line wrass and he is in QT. I have a 100 gal mixed reef that has a heathy banded pipefish, among several other fishes. I cannot find much info on the pipefish, let alone the two together. I havn't decided if the wrass will go into my 100 gal or another tank. Any last minute thoughts? If I don't hear any negatives on this, the wrass will be in the 100 in about 2-3 weeks. Thanks.

He is doing well. I have done a bit of reading and some say no to the reef and some say yes. I say he is fine in there, even with other fish around (7 chromis, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 soloman Is. yellowtail damsel). It's funny, when the light came on after the nite he went in, the others kept checking him out (no aggression), now they completely ignore him and he feeds (mostly a nite) on pods like he's getting paid for it. He is also starting to come out during regular day time feeding of the others too. I thought he would be a shy thing, but he just does his thing and no problems. My only problem is no one seems to have info on him and the six-line wrass.

I have a banded pipe fish in a 30G reef with small,non-aggressive fish.He is always out and about.
I wouldn't put a 6 line in with yours. They are nasty and aggessive in any size tank.

This has been my experience as well. If your pipefish is dependent on pods for food the six line will starve him as they are very active and efficient pod hunters. The other thing is aggression as many six lines will go after more passive fish and they dont come much more passive than a pipefish. Pipefish are great reef fish as long as there aren't aggressive fish in there but I think a six line would be trouble. HTH
