Compatibility Question

I just bought two yellow headed jawfish, about 2 in each, for my 30L. The only other fish I had in there was a flame angel and a diamond goby. I have yet to see my jawfish during the day but I have seen them for the past 3 nights in which I have had them. When I released them into the tank the flame angel went right after them and they darted underneath the rocks. On every compatibility chart I have see it said that gobies and dwarf angels both should get along really well with jawfish. Will they eventually gat used to each other, or will my jawfish only come out and night??

Also when I feed the tank I don't see them eat so I have been 'overfeeding' the tank to make sure food goes in all of the tunnels underneath the rockwork. Do you think they are eating or do you think this is a problem that I don't see them eat.

Compatibility is a tricky subject; the order in which what species is added first is crucial.

Dwarf angels can be fiercely territorial and any later additions can be viewed as trespassers.

The first additions should have been the jawfish or maybe the smallest of goby species such as neon gobies.

As to whether they are eating or not depends on how stressed they are; an animal that is heavily stressed or harassed will not eat.
You will more than likely need to remove the angel in order for the jawfish to adapt to their new home.
