Computer Geeks, help a brother out?

A problem of mine was suddenly solved by reading another thread. But I didn't want to hijack. I just upgraded to a Neptune 3 controller that I wish to monitor on my computer. Possible even use the internet hub to monitor it from remote locations. My computer is not where near the unit and I was going to run some network cable but then a guy mentioned the obvious. Wireless.

I can most things with a computer, but a network expert I'm not. What kind of equipment do I need to connect a Neptune 3 with an ethernet port to a computer. Am I correct in assuming I need to know about WLAN bridges?

How are you connected to the internet? Dialup? Do you have an existing wireless access point?:)

The basic setup would be:

AC III -> Wireless bridge -> wireless network (air :)) -> accesspoint/router/other wireless bridge -> wired network/computer

If you're doing it wired, you need a (long) ethernet Cat5 crossover cable if you don't have a hub/switch in between. The crossover part is essential :)

PS I assume it would go:

Available port --> Plug extender 1-->house wire -->plug extender 2-->Neptune

the router that theatrus showed you should work, you might get a frind to come over and hook everything up or else you might be giving people access to your internet too if you dont set it up right

yea make sure you encrypt the router. otherwise people can access your wireless connection. someone around me has wireless and a buddy of mine always brings his laptop over and hijacks the connection.
