computer trouble on topic?

When you get there, go the forums, and then to other computer problems and post what is wrong.

Do you have a keyboard that has any special loading buttons on them, such as "Email" or "Web"? There have been some issues with the keyboard drivers continually trying to load, say a webpage, and the browser and/or Windows execute protection blocking the page load. This would be one reason your ram would be eaten up.

Another suggestion, click Start / Run and type msconfig. Hit enter, then select the Startup tab. I suggest un-checking anything you do NOT need in your startup. Reboot and see if that does the trick.

hey russ,
I know a little bit bout computers and would be willing to help. if ya want give me a call and I'll see if I can talk ya through some steps.

Did you go to the Tomcoyote forum? The people there will most likely have you download a program that will print out a list of everything in your registry, then they can help you clean it up. They have saved me many times. It sounds kind of like a browser highjack of some sort that is eating your resources.

Yeah, this is likely to be a spyware program and not a firefox/mozilla program. Try downloading these 2 programs, and running them:

1. Spyware Search & Destroy
2. Ad Aware

They are good stuff...
