(more rock is on the way and i haven't installed my lights yet)

Standard 4" , 120mm, computer fans work as well. You can get them for less than $10 and run them from any 12v DC power supply. You probably already have a 12v DC adaptor laying around from an old cell phone or something.
www.nexfan.com has lots of fans and you can compare the amount of noice and air that they put out.

I wired a cheap 4" computer fan to an $8 variable voltage DC transformer from wal-mart that allows me to vary the speed of the fan and control noise.

hmmm ok i was worried about the computer fans rusting.
i guess i could give it a shot.
will air movement inside the hood prevent condensation? (as long as the air comes out..)

To a point yes. This is JMO, but I have an OT ( Open Top ) and don't have condensation, I think that closed tanks cuase more issue's with gas exchange as well as condensation. But thats JMO.

I went to Gateway Electronics off of Page near Schutz and purchased a 120 volt 4 inch fan. Cost about 9 bucks I think.
