condylactis anenome and juvenile clownfish

I have two 6-7 month old black ocellaris clowns and want to know if a large condylactis anenome in my reef tank will kill the pair.

Theres always a chance it will, I dont believe the condy is a hosting nem. I have seen them hosting clowns, but i would not do it. IMO

Yea, condies aren't natural hosting anemones (( wrong ocean )).

I personally had one host a pair of Clarkiis, but I have also heard of them eating clowns too. It isn't a risk that I would take again.

I wouldn't worry about it, black ocellaris host naturally in much nastier anemones than a condy.

My two ocellaris ave shared a tank with a condy for about 1.5 years now, and could care less about it. Further the condy, in it's prime, wasn't strong enough to kill and eat a 1" flounder, it sure as hell isn't going to hurt a 2-3" clown.

we have condys in two of our tanks and both are being hosted. one by a pair of clarkii's and the other by our pair of maroons, so i wouldnt say that they arent hosting nems. we have never had a problem getting our clowns to host them....

Condy's are an Atlantic Anenome, and clowns are from the Pacific, so they are not natural hosts, but our aquariums aren't natural either. Lol...
