Pros: They are attractive to the eye, at least for me. I find them more aesthetically pleasing that say a carpet anemone for sure. Not too difficult to take care of(in my experience). It is cool to feed them and watch them eat. Inexpensive(I got mine for 12$ Canadian).
Cons: Won't host anything. Can move around causing a great deal of harm to fish/corals. Apparently emit toxins upon death.
It might be a good place to start if you want an anemone but in the long run you will probably want a different type.
