confused clownfish

my clown fish are a bit confused and are making a claim on the flowerpot i put in the tank at the same time as the rose tip anenome. can someone tell me how to unconfuse them?

Remove the flower pot. Thats basically all you can do. If they like it, they will use it as a host.

the "smell" is what the clowns looking for, the chemical the anemone or other corals put into the water.
how long you have the RBTA?
i will agreed with AquaReeferMan, remove the flower pot til they host the RBTA.

had a clown that decided to host in some hair algae in the bottom of my tank even when i had an anemone then. Would definetly take it out, so they need something else to host in.
