Confused on ich

I have a 125gallon and I noticed one of my fish has ich... in my tank I have live rock and sand with some mushrooms,polyps, and emerald crabs,snails, and hermits... Can I treat the whole tank with a copper treatment or will it kill the other stuff? If I do a QT will the ich still survive off of the other living stuff in the tank? Whats the best method I heard some garlic stuff or just do a QT with copper treatment?

QT with copper is my choice.

The ich will survive in your display for 8 weeks if there are no other fish.

If there are other fsh they'll need treatment too.

NEVER put copper in the display.It'll kill everything.

No, ich won't touch your corals or inverts. And yes, copper, or a hyposalinity treatment will kill your corals and inverts.

You'll have to set up a separate quarantine tank to treat your fish. You'll also want to keep your fish in that quarantine tank for 8-10 weeks while you wait for the ich in your main tank to die off. If you put them back in sooner the ich will come back, and cause more problems.

Inverts cannot "get" ich and ich cannot feed off inverts; so they die from lack of a host. However; inverts can carry different stages of ich from one tank to another.
