Confused

A member post that he is willing to trade a few corals he is selling. I would like to buy and/or trade for these corals. I ask him in a private message if he is willing to trade and my message is blocked, and i receive a message saying i have not met requirements to trade. This is my confusion why is my message blocked when answering a post from a member who has met the requirements. Im not posting trying to get others to trade. Is this confusing to anyone else?

Supposedly you're supposed to have 50 posts minimum and 90 days on this sure to wear big boy pants, but I'm sure you can find that reefer elsewhere. You won't need a minimum amount of posts to meet some nice people...I'm pretty sure you can pm me without getting spanked like I might for this

I feel your pain. I have extra items that I need to get rid of and now I'm forced to work with my LFS for them to make a profit instead of helping out other hobbiests.

We're not real fond of post padding either.

Not sure how a pm could tell you that you don't have enough posts to trade? You can't pm if you have under 10 posts.

I think you can post your equipment here in the chicagoland section. Everyone else does. You just cant post in the Main for sale section. That section is from everyone across the country and most always requires shipping.

No one is supposed to trade/sell untill after 50 posts AND 90 days membership.

I responded to a post, I was sent a warning. They also deleted some of my other posts. You can't tell someone he has a nice tank if you have less than 50 posts or you're post padding

So, what is someone suppose to post in my case?

I am "learning" about the hobby as we work on our 500gal tank. I am not knowledged enough to give advise to others. And, I don't have questions I need answers to that I can't find on the web somewhere.

What is a person in my case suppose to post? I understand not wanting RC to be a "store" for selling, but trading or giving away? What does that hurt anyone?
