Connect 3155 to timer?

I am thinking to use a timer to control my 3155 only for auto top-off during the daytime. And use another set for adding kalkwasser during the night time. However, some euipment seem not to be designed for frequently on and off.

I'm just wondering if frequently on and off will shorten 3155's lifespan?

No, but the danger is that you will defeat the 10 minute time out safety, every time you turn it off the safety resets.

But what do you mean 10 mins time out safety? Will it cause any damage for my 3155 or tank?

The pump can only run for ten minutes, if your tank is leaking for example, you could only add 10 minutes worth of water and it would shut off. With the timer, every timne it restarts it will pump for another 10 minutes.

It means every night when the timer switches on 3155. The pump will be activated and add 10 mins kalkwasser into my tank?

If so, it seems not to be a good idea for adding kalkwasser...
