My LFS has a thorny oyster that I would like to add to my tank. I have done a little reading on them and it is my understanding that they do not require a lot of light or water flow. But can they tolerate normal reef tank (high light intensity and flow) conditions?
I also understand that phyto is their main source of nutrition. I do not grow my own YET but will rely on phyto feast for now.
My tank is about 6 months old, has gone through several algae blooms and seems pretty stable. Can I get him?
