Considering converting my 220g to aggressive/predator

Mike and I both are getting tired of the coral care and would like to do something different. I already have a large Snowflake eel that eats frozen in my 44g and have owned lionfish before that we have weaned to frozen so we are not newbies to the predator game. I'm also going to ask in the predator forum, but does anyone have any stocking suggestions? I'm going to move my clowns and watchman goby into the 44g.

The existing fish I have that will go in to the 220g are:
Full grown snowflake eel
Fairly large mono
2 Pygmy Angels that currently live with the eel (two VERY BAD Pygmy Angels I wouldn't care if they got sold or eaten!) lemonpeel and coral beauty

Any suggestions?
I'd like to get another lionfish and maybe a trigger or large angel.

Also would I be able to stick with the same type of CUC I have in the eel tank currently? Starfish and urchins.

Be careful with triggers and lions, they will pick on the lions fins, not good for both.

I loved having my lion and my snowflake, the eel sure did make a mess though

Since you are keeping the eel, maybe a few different type of lions would be awesome

I was going to say this. Triggers and lions dont do well together. Personally I would prolly go with the triggers as theyre way more active and theres a bigger variety of them to choose from.

Thanks for the offer of the grouper but it may be a week or two before we start this project. We may start on it this weekend but it may take a bit before I'd be ready for him! Plus I still need to sell or trade my corals. I'm only going to keep a few in with the clowns.

Yeah, saw that about triggers and lions. :( but still open to any idea.

So I also got an idea from the predator forum of a parrotfish, grouper, and lion along with my eel?

I like this idea but I think I'd like more species variety :)
My Snowy is a TOTAL PIG too. Lmao!!

I've also seen that no one has mentioned a large angel... If I went the trigger way (no lion) would that be bad?? I've mostly only had tangs for large fish previously.

Also what about a harlequin tusk?

The tusk would be cool to do...

If you like those Mono's I have 2 of them I'd be happy to give you.

I would take them but I don't want to take up tank space for whatever else I'm getting. I appreciate it though!!

And if anyone else might be thinking about it, mono's might be old school but they put some silver flash in the tank and he has a cool personality like a tang or sort of like a puffer. He follows me around and begs for food. Lol!

As much as I loved my lion I'm leaning towards not having one so I can have a bigger variety.
What about a puffer??

Any CUC you get in a tank with triggers/H tusks etc is fair game. Just plan on replenishing your snails a couple times a year. I have to anyway~:uzi:

Gotcha.

I think I may be leaning towards a puffer such as the Stars and Stripes, an Emperor angel, a Tusk, and a grouper.

I love my tusk, one of my favorite for sure. Hes in my reef tank. Between him and my trigger (I suspect mainly the trigger) Ive ran thru a bunch of snails and all four of my cleaner shrimp (which were doing fine for a couple months) have mysteriously disappeared. lolz

I may be selling a large Koran Angel before too long, haven't really decided if I want to part with it yet though.
