Tropical World Pets a SLASH supporter and friend of the club is having their 10th Annual Consignment Sale Sunday, March 20th 11-5pm Rain or Shine. This is a great opportunity to clean out the closet or basement of your used hobby related equipment. Make some cash to buy more... Muhahahaha ! ! !

If you havn't been before its something to check out. Just a note of experience the nice used stuff goes fast. So get there when it opens. I almost had to wrestle talljason just to see what was behind the roped off area.

with all the for sale threads and because a few people have pm'd me about it... I asked TWP John, here are the drop off times.

Seller Drop off Times (no livestock)

I was just up there earlier and from what the guy told me, is you bring in your items you want to sell. you give them a high price and a low price. if it doesnt sell at the high they ask if you want to lower it to the low to try and move it. Whatever you sell it for they get 10%.

I called about 8;30pm this evening,they said they could help price the items you bring. I have Iwaki MD-70 RLT pump made in` Japan and a 30 gallon acrylic sump and corallfe protein skimmer 125 Which I have no ideal what it worth. it was all lightly used . And yes some people think Coral Life skimmers are bad but noobie's like me must learn .... any body got any price Ideals on the pump ?

no worries... TWP supports SLASH so just getting the word out for those needing to clean house. SO use the thread to ask questions... np.

Keep in mind there are many TWP customers that don't do forums like RC that by/sell as well. There is usually something a bit of a wow factor there each time. This is also when they have their store wide sale.

We've went there for the last 3 years and found a lot of great stuff . Usually it depends on the weather. But some things go quick . You can also find alot of bargins on new stuff. But as they say the used stuff usally it go's fast :spin3:

Wow. I can only imagine your frustration. SW stuff, even used, isn't cheap. Did you purchase all three from the same person?
What are the items? Maybe they can be easily and/or cheaply repaired.

They all had a 2 on the sticker so I'm guessing they were from the same person. The items were an asm mini g skimmer, a mag pump and an auto top off. I went to the sale to try to save some money and I totally got ripped off. I just don't know what kind of person can sell things to an unsuspecting person that is into the same hobby that they are...

the asm probally needs a pump, mag pump (probally impellor, auto top could be anything


what mag pump was that you got
