Controller Question

OK, during the heat wave we had my tank temp got as high as 86 degrees, and I have fans everywhere including 5 Hood fans, but my House AC cannot keep up with 95 plus degree weather, so I'm going to get a chiller soon. (Pacific Coast chiller CL-280)

I also plan on getting a controller for the chiller, lights etc. I'm looking at either the ReefKeeper2 or aquacontroller Jr. I'll have the chiller, heater, lights & probes to hook up, Lights include 2 250watt MH and 2 VHO SuperActinic bulbs with icecap660.

I wondering what others have experienced with these units and based on my equipment, which unit might be best for my setup?

Thanks
Norman

I would vote for the AC Jr. I was going to get it until Ryan had his Aquatronica for sale.

Its much more flexible than the RKII and has many more accessories and capabilities than the RKII.

Check this website out:

There is a great excel spreadsheet you can download and compare ALL KINDS of controllers. :)

Thanks Brandon for that web site, great spreadsheet. That really helps and makes me lean toward the AC Jr.

No problem! :)

I hope that website gets better with time... more reviews and the like. :)

Yes, I know what you mean, I looked but was unable to find your review of your Aquatronica:rolleyes: ;) :D :D

 Its funny you mention that, because I am just about to submit it! I thought the same thing...

"Well, Brandon... if you're going to complain, at least do your part and review your unit!"

:D
