Controllers situated remotely

Are there any controllers that work with a remote sump? I have a "fish room" in the basement, and the display upstairs - how would a controller in the basement at the sump run both the instruments in the sump room, and the lights and wavemakers in the display? Do some have remote signalling of some sort?

You just need to buy/make up longer cables to control the power center that would be mounted near the display. Ive got one bus line thats over 50' and works like a charm. Just trace the wire up with the return and drain pipes. :)

X-10 controls can work as well, but they can be less than reliable without running an amp to make sure they get signal.

I have my Profilux in the basement sump room with two powerbars. The lights are upstairs and are connected to a third powerbar. I also run my Tunze streams on the controller from the basement. I ran some standard network cables to the basement to do this. I suspect regardless of which controller you choose you will have to find some way of running some cables.
