Controlling Vortechs with EcoSmart App

I recently discovered the new feature of the iPhone app to control Vortechs, and dutifully updated my Vortechs (MP40es) as described. They appeared in the app, but were not being controlled--nothing I did in the app seemed to impact them.

Mystified, I decided to configure them manually (since they had reset as part of the update/adding to the App) back into master/slave mode. After that, they were greyed out in the App. So, I deleted the devices in the App, but in order to add them I have to redo the upgrade process. No thanks.

So, two questions:

1) Can you control Vortechs in the app while still having them in a traditional master/slave relationship, or is it one or the other?

2) If yes to the above, any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I have found precisely no documentation on this new feature--indeed, the only thing I've seen is the MarineDepo youtube ad...

I'm unable to control my Vortechs (I have 2x MP40wES) with the app as well. Upgraded the pumps without issue, and the app shows they are there. However, when I try to change modes, nothing happens. The mode displayed does not match the mode on the pump either. Maybe Vortech control isn't fully implemented yet?

The mode doesn't actually change until you adjust the speed wheel. Just changing the color doesn't make it change, selecting a % does.

That doesn't work for me either. I have my pumps set to master/slave (anti-sync). I suspect the app doesn't support that yet, as I don't see a setting for master or slave anywhere.

The app currently does support sync/anti-sync.

You create the schedule on one of your pumps, then when creating the schedule on your slave pump you just set it to the desired sync mode (and to which pump to sync/anti-sync to).

Neither of my VorTechs are responding to the app. When I set up a schedule and program them, nothing happens; mode doesn't change and there is still no change when I manually change modes from the wheel. I tried deleting and re-adding the pumps, and they responded at first. But when I tried to schedule and reprogram them, they stopped responding and are greyed out in the app. I'll shoot EcoTech's support an email to see what they have to say.

It sounds like your pumps might have failed the full upgrade. Please give our Customer Service department a call to assist with getting your pumps fully compatible with EcoSmart Live.

Also, after upgrading my MP40wES pumps, they no longer respond to the feed-mode or night control sent by my Radions (i.e, I used to be able to put the pumps into feed mode by pressing the buttons on the radian). Can the Vortechs only be controlled by one thing at once (the app or the lights), or is something amiss?
