converting mg/l to ppm

Im using the sera phosphate test kit and the results are in mg/l i likes to know the actual ppm reading from what i understand u would just change the mg/l to ppm and that what ur reading is so if i had a reading of 0.5 mg/l that would mean i have 0.5 ppm in phosphate correct? any help would be appreciated

For our purposes, they are one and the same.

Yes, the difference is about 2%, and our kits aren't that accurate.
