Google "Pholidichthys leucotaenia" for more info on this curiously elusive fish...
I've had this one for over a year and he (she?) is fat and healthy and eats flake or frozen foods. Peaceful, shy fish good with other tank-mates small to large (well, maybe not too small?)
You will need to have a decent size tank 30" minimum with a medium to deep sand bed and be prepared for this tunnel burrowing master to go to work redecorating the substrate of your system to his liking. If your fortunate enough he may even build his new cave with a portion right against the front glass where you can catch a glimps of him constantly maintaining and expanding his under-sand fortress... Be prepared to have nearby frags burried during his reconstruction... He almost needs his own "species" tank ideally, or at least a good size tank with no coral too close to his sand castle's perimeter lol
I wish I had another suitable system I could transfer him to so I could keep him myself. I have enjoyed keeping him and am sad to have to find him a new home, but he has outgrown my 55g mixed reef.
I am most concerned he go to someone who will appreciate his unique behavior and be able to provide a suitable environment.
The asking price is FREE assuming you meet requirements, although I wouldn't turn down a frag in exchange!
