Cookeville anyone?

I know there was a reefer in Crossville, and Dave S lives in Kingston, other than that I don't know anyone; you're halfway to Nashville! Check in the MTRC forum to see if any of them live East of town maybe.... I live on the opposite side of K-town, so no help there! :(

Matt

I posted this in the MTRC too, closest one that I know of is 60-70 miles away. I know of one person in Crossville that I am trading some stuff too this week. But I found him on a local sales website in the pet section selling them. I rarily go east of cookeville, but yall have been real helpful and real friendly so I would more tempted to buy/trade with you all. I can be in ktown in a little over an hour, and downtown nashville is about the same time wise. Its a good location as far as living (rated #1 most affordable city in the US several times by USA Today) but for saltwater it blows big hairy goats!!!

hehe don't even have a clue where that is.. I am all the way up here in New Tazewell

If you look at a TN map, look smack dab in the middle of nashville and ktown (literally), and you will see cookeville.

LMAO!!! :lolspin: I wholeheartedly agree... But the MTRC chaps are good folks... There's one guy in Mt. Juliet... Not sure how much he has to trade though... But I think he has mostly softies and polyps, so that should be right up your alley... :D

Kingston is the same distance as Mt Juliet, ktown is like 30+miles farther then nashville from me. Traffic is horrible in nashville though, most of the members in MTRC are further west or south of nashville that I know of.

I went to nashville today, in the rain none the less. I had to my little girl to Vanderbilt. Traffic was horrible to and from there. Stopped by the Aquatic Critter, and they are just as expensive on corals as it is here but their fish for the most part are super cheap! So when I redo my tank, Im heading there!

I didnt see any there, but I wasnt exactly looking for them. I looked at all the salt tanks with stuff for sale in them. I actually found somebody in Cookeville on the MTRC board, but they are not a member. He showed me a website for a local aquarium society, which is ran by people who work at the LFS I use to work at but one of their "advisors" is the reason I am having to update my tank because everything the person told me was from 10-20 years ago. Plus a lot of other stuff Im not willing to go into in an open forum, haha

What you ought to do is meet up with people when they go to Nashville for the holidays. I am going through there on my way to Nashville and could easily meet you just off the interstate to drop off frags (mine or other people's). I'm sure Donny is probably doing the same thing (not that I'm volunteering him or anything!).

Also, 1 hour to downtown Knoxville? You must drive really really fast!

LMAO, I can be in Oakland, Maine in 19hrs, roughly 1500 miles when you avoid DC and NYC traffic. Thats including stopping for gas and food. I almost left out potty breaks!!!

That is also a great idea, So when are you coming thru here?

I'm on a tight schedule for Wednesday night so you'd have to be there at the Shell gas station waiting for me off exit 286. I can't estimate exactly right now but I am guessing somewhere between 7 and 8 pm eastern time (yr on central, right? so 6 or 7). I can give you a better estimate before we leave. I am quite good at estimating time when I know the time we are going to leave.

I meant Wednesday before Thanksgiving, yeah.

But you gotta work it out with other people to get them to get their frags to me if you decide to get frags from people besides me (they are usually good about this kind of thing). I just won't have any time to be running all over Knoxville picking up frags, ya know? As I said...tight schedule.

I don't mean to sound harsh at all either...I am totally willing to help out but I just can't have it make me take a lot of extra time up (or else my husband won't go for it).

Nope...the wednesday before Thanksgiving is Nov 22. It's less than a week away now.

*It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!*

I thought thanksgiving was the last thursday in nov? The last thursday is the 30th. I dont know, havent looked into thanksgiving as of yet, lol.
