Hello everyone I bought a RED/Green bta yesterday.
I put it near the bottom center in my tank with the lights and power heads off for the night.I peeked on him a few times and he was all bubbled up and looked happy.
This morning I turned on one power head that had indirect flow on him and he shrunck and tryed hideing. So I moved him to the edge on the light one the right side with minimal flow, and he is starting to get bubbly again.
All power heads are on now.
Tank info. 135g,40g sump,skimmer,fuge,250lbs rock,BB,2 korilla 3 and 1 korilla2.CL in the works.
My light is a 6 bulb t5 36" 3 10k whites and 3 blue. I have the light center on my 6' tank. The BTA is right on the edge,im not sure hoe much light he is actually getting not much would be my guess. BTA came from mh.
Where should I put my BTA

It will move where it wants to be, so I wouldn't bother trying to move it. Be prepared to move your corals out of its path or they will get stung.

Your tank looks really new - how long has it been up and running?

My tanks been going two monthes maybe a little longer. I added about 80lbs of premo live rock with all the corals attached ,along with other mini life.
On the BTA I have been doing alot of reading and some people say they move right away and others say placement was perfect from the begining so no movement. Im going to wait and see how well his colors pop tonight were he's at and go from there.
Im just not to sure how far up the tank would be ideal.

Well like others have said if he wants to move he will move so just leave it alone. And also for future reference anemones dont do well in a young tank they NEED an established system which you dont have at 2months. I dont want to be the devils advocate but this anemone has a decent chance of dying.

Most of my rock is from and well established system with tons of little life running around and poping out everywhere. I havent lost any life.

I waited till just the blue's were on and my BTA looked cooler than ever.
He was all bubble just about all day,and a camera does not do justice .
Hope he gets enough light during the day.

Checked on him first thing this morning and he moved about five inches up the tank. And he is all bubbled out.
My lights wernt even on yet so he looks like he is still out of the good light zone.
Im sure he's not done moving yet.
