Copepod consumers

Besides mandarins... What fish are big time copepod consumers? I would imagine any fish would twitch and chomp a jumpy little critter like a copepod -- But seriously, what would go head-to-head with a mandarin for it's food source?

Any fish will compete for them. Form follows function, a fish with a small mouth will rely more on the tiny critters. A wrasse, damsel or gramma will give some real competition. There's a link from the RC home page about mandarins. They are very tempting but the majority die of starvation because they are put into a tank that has not had time with a refugium to establish a good steady food supply.

Excellent. Be sure to follow the acclimation instructions carefully. With a steady source of food they will flourish in a refugium.

Scott, lemme know how your pod order works out. I've seeded with 'tigger pods' before and tradin' clumps o' chaeto, but I'm always looking for diversity. If their stuff is good and you seem to get enough for the money, I'd likely buy some from them too.
