But on to better things. :D
I was wondering is there anyone here in Tucson that might have a bunch of copepods they could back up for me that I could dump into my Refugium (It's been up for a week now.

I would buy some, but I am really tight right now as most are. Just seeing if there were any helping hands. Thanks!

Welcome! you should find plenty of help here. Im in the middle of tearing down my tank and starting up a smaller one. i dont have any pods i can bag up, but i do have plenty of rocks full of feather duster worms that are great for the fuge, if you'd like a rock let me know and ill bag one up for you. hopefully someone will have some pods for you and you can get everything up and running.

lol. Thank you.
Yea I would love to get some from you. I got some cheato from SEA and I took a magnifying glass to the stuff yesterday and for the life of me couldn't see any pods. I thought for sure there would be some in there. I even considered taking a handful to my lab and see if I could use a stereomicroscope to use them, but then I was thinking that was a little beyond necessary as I should see them with the naked eye.

I will PM you with my contact info

Check back with me and I should have my pod culture thriving real soon. ill give you some extra pod/phyto mix to add to it.

I got a bag of Cheato about 2 weeks ago from SEA, and I put it directly in my 46g tank (that has only been up for 3 months) and WHAMO!!! I got pods galore in my tank, like I could have a green mandarin if I wanted! Most people would advise against cheato in the display, but I found it very very helpful! And I too, was discouraged at first, looking for pods when I bought the chaeto.

Huh. I wonder if the same will happen to me. I got some more cheato though and it has a TON of stuff in it.

Sounds great. Would be nice to find somewhere for live pods. I want to make sure that my tank is plenty stocked since it is a smaller tank. If I throw pods in there regularly it should be okay.

Just an update though I quarintined off my Green Mandarin from the other fish (less competitiveness for food) and he is eating a TON of frozen brine shrimp. So I can say that I am not worried about him not eating. He is a fast and plump little guy. I am going to release him back into the main display tonight.

I wouldn't doubt it! I put the Cheato next my glass to see pods, I have about 15 per square inch on the glass near the cheato, and about 3-6 per square inch on other parts of my glass  Just watch out for loose bits of the stuff clogging filters/power heads, etc....
