Copepods

Hey what's going on? I look in my DT the past few nights with my red head light and I didn't see any pods at all!!!!! I use to have 100s of them running around. No new fish. Did get more blue herrmits.

You may just have had a natural population crash. There was plenty of food in your tank, so they bred like crazy. Eventually there were too many copepods for the food supply, and they starved. The food is still there, so the survivors will breed their way back up eventually.

Agree, They wax and wane regularly in my system.
