Copper and spawning

How big of an affect does copper have on a clownfish's ability to spawn? I think Wilkerson's book said copper could hinder a fish's ability to spawn and I would like to hear some feed back on people's experience with this. There is a Clarkii at a LFS but it is in a copper system and I'd like to know if I should get it or not.

Thanks in advance

I bought fish in copper before it does not matter, seen complete systems medicated and the pairs resumed spawning a couple of months later.

I think she said it was the A. Ephippium clown that was really sensitive to it. We used to get them in frequently at the old LFS I used to work for and I can tell you that they don't take well to copper in general.

I copper all my clowns (and all fish for that matter) before putting them into any display system. Have had many spawnings and raised some of the fry just fine. No problems. Doesn't mean it can't harm, however, many of us have not seen any detrimental effects.
