Copper Based Meds?

Lockhartia

I have a pair of percs in a 75ga FOWLR that have come down with ick. I'm at a total loss as to how, and what to do. It is a breeding pair that I've had for over six years and I don't want to lose them. Presently, they are both still eating VERY well and active. My male is the most affected by this.

Their tankmates are a tomini tang, 2 yellowtail damsels (very well behaved) and an algea blenny.

There have been no recent additions, the last fish went in well over two months ago after a QT period.

I've heard that copper based ick medications can damage their reproduction, and make them sterile. Is this true? I was planning on breeding them, but making them healthy is much more important. If anyone has any suggestions, please help!! They only thing that has changed in the tank recentwy was me swapping one powerhead for another, that's it. The temperature stays nice and constant as it's in my basement.

Parameters are: pH 8.2, temp 76degrees, ammonia/nitrite/nitrate 0 alk 11 dkh.

Thanks for any suggestions/help!
