Copper for ich?

Is copper the best meds for ich? or is it agressive? LFS said i should use melafix instead.

Do you have a fish-only tank or do you also have corals? Copper is toxic to corals and should not be used in a reef display tank. Do you have a quarantine tank?

Yes i do have a reef tank with corals, but i am treating my fish in a QT tank.

its the best way to get rid of it as long as you have a hospital tank to treat in. It only takes about 10days (quicker treatment than hypo) to work but your display will still need up to 6wks before the ich dies off. Culpramine from seachem is the safest form of copper treatment and the easiest to remove as well.
