Copper Question

How long should a fish stay in qt when using copper to treat ich? All the directions say is that one dose treats water for one month. Aslo should you slowly lower copper levels in qt by doing small water changes using non treated water towards the end of treatment?

You don't need to lower the copper levels slowly when you are done with treatment. You *DO* need to monitor the copper levels very closely during treatment. I generally treat for 14 days and then observe for 30 days or more for reoccurance of symptoms. Some people that I know treat with copper for 30 days.
