Copper sensitivity?

I have a true percula clownfish, and it is showing signs of velvet. It has been in a quarantine tank for a little over a week.

Are perculas sensitive to copper? I would prefer to dose copper than to do hyposalinity.

Thanks

Since hyposalinity has not been proven to work against velvet, I am sure your clownfish would prefer you use copper too. ;)

Joyce Wikerson, in her book on clownfish, mentioned that some might not breed after exposure to copper. But, if it really is velvet, your only other option is chloroquine diphosphate, which is not easy to find anymore.

I actually spoke too quickly. Upon further inspection, it looks like it has brook. I am not too worried yet, because it has not stopped eating, and it is plenty active.

What bothers me is the dusty like sides of it. It looks very similar, but not the the same degree as the maroon clownfish in your pictures.
