Copperband Line

Hi there, I was just reading the forum talking about the red lines on the fish, but this one seems different. Like I said it is on my copperband and it looks like a blood worm. It is only on the gill of him and doesn't grow or shrink. Please help, thanks

Your description isn't very clear, but it sounds like some sort of external parasite. Most such parasites will drop off if you treat them with a freshwater dip or formalin bath (which works better depends on the species of parasite). Assuming the parasite is not able to reproduce in your tank (true of many species) that should do it.

Thanks SAT, I will get a picture of the copper when I can. It is in my fathers tank so this the only description that I could get from him about the problem, hopefully you can explain to problem once you see a picture.
