Sorry to hear that. I loved my CBB and was sad to give him away when I wasn't able to keep him fat and happy. They are such amazing fish - I often wonder how old some of these fish are when they are captured. Will you try another?

I haven't decided on whether I will try another cbb. Not any time soon, for sure. Perhaps if I get a larger tank and am in a position to feed 3 or 4 times per day, but so few people get them to live more than a handful of years and the fact that mine never adapted to the abundance of food in captive life make me not want to deal with one now. My fish easily could have eaten three times the food it ingested, but it chose not to do so.

Get back up on the horse. Their personality is too cool to not have one. I'll will have had mine for 3 years in June. If it dies, I'll be sad, but I will get another one.
