CopperSafe?

I have use this Mardel CopperSafe before in the past (2 years ago on a Tomini tang and a Coral Beauty and angel) with good results. Now I have 2 new fish that came down with Ick,a flame angel and a yellow eyed kole tang, right now they are in a 20 gal QT tank being treated with Rid Ick Plus. I do have some of the CopperSafe left from the last time but was hesitant to use it because of the angel. I have been reading the stickies on this site. My questions is, can I use the CopperSafe but at a half dosage with good results on the angel and tang and eradicate the ick? If I do choose to use this I will be using carbon and Poly-Bio Filter to pull out the Rid Ick Plus before using the copper. Thanks

I'm a big fan of copper; I use Cupramine, but Coppersafe is a good brand too. Flame Angels are one of the few fish That I would never expose to any copper. LA says they should never be exposed to copper at or near .15 ppm and I don't think that is high enough to kill all free-swimming ich. I think a FA is the only fish I've ever killed with copper; that's a lot of fish. (I use it prophylacticly). I think hypo or tank-transfer are your only choices.

Thanks for the info., sadly the FA passed on,so I will cleaned the tank out from the RID ICK PLUS and add copper and use it.
