coral algae

I have a problem in my tank and it is driving me crazy. most of my corals are not opening all the way do to what appears to be a cob web like algae growing just mainly on the corals. The rocks and sand are almost free of any algae except for coralline. Can any of you help with this problem. The corals that are fine and doing well are the harder ones to keep like my fuzzy horn coral and the birds nest. I'm all out of ideas here
