coral banded + peppermints?

How many gallons is your tank? That is the biggest factor for the survival of the peppermints or any other ornamental shrimp with a coral banded shrimp.

I have two cleaners, 2 sexy shrimp, 2 anemone shrimp, 1 peppermint (though I used to have two until one died of age). all in a 46 gallon. I wouldn't add 3 peppermints with a coral banded shrimp in a tank smaller than around 35 gallons. 30 gallons is ok, but its kind of a stretch, one of the pepps is likely to get eaten. You could keep one or maybe two in a 30 with one.

If you have larger than a 35 gal, go for it than, its perfectly ok.

I've gota 75 with a CB 3 small peppermints 2 bigger peppermints, and a big and small cleaner. The CB was the first one in the tank. When I first added the others he would chase them a bit when they got near his spot, but it didn't seem like he was fast enough to catch them. They have all been in there for about 6 months now and he doesn't even bother chasing them away any more. Although the larger of the cleaners (still smaller then the CB) seams to enjoy poking at him untill hes annoyed enough to give short chase.

oh thats awesome i always wanted a coral banded shrimp....but had 2 peppermints already in my 75.... funny i thought about posting the same question earlier lol
