Coral Banded Shrimp

Do coral banded shrimp drop their legs when threatned? Mine lost one when I was catching it but lost the other one in the holding tank. I hope he's OK.

I am not sure, but when I bought mine, he had one arm. I got it for 9 bucks, and it grew back within two weeks. So I'm sure it will grow back soon.

When the fellow I bought mine from, caught him origionally, it lost an arm too. Grew back at the next shedding. Just wondering if they drop them on purpose, when scared, like a lizard.

Hmm... mine was missing an arm for a bit... looks like it grew back. It sheds constantly tho. Its weird.

PP, I don't think they drop them unless they are somehow damaged and would restrict/inhibit movement. He must have bumped the legs or damaged them in the catching process.

They will grow back just like the claws. Should be fine.

Actuall, it is the 2 large front legs/claws that are missing. Poor fella! He looks so small now.

Mine lost both of it's claws in the move. They grew back on his next molt.

i had one with a leg that fell off before and it grows back so dont worry they will both show back up one day
