Coral beauty angel with blotches

My coral angel has blotches on his/her head. It looks like it is going bald. Have had this for a month without any ill effects. will it clear up over time on its own? The cleaner shrimp and coral banded shrimp both are cleaning the angel. Angel's appetite is good and seems to be feeding around the tank all the time. The beauty can't resist taking a nip at every snail that sticks out an antenna, or any cerith that climbs the glass during the day.

Sure looks like it. I feed my fish flakes and frozen food. I put vitachem in with the frozen food. I started adding it to my flake food this morning.

You should check all your water params. Also check that you are feeding proper foods.

leebca helped me with my problem and posted this link for me to read, it helped me alot. I dont think there will be any problem with me passing it on to you, I hope not anyways. My CB is in need of antibiotics hopefully you can reverse yours with good nutrition.

Thanks Kraze3, I have Vita-chem and use a combination of frozen and flakes. The frozen has seven types of food and i have blended the cubes with vita-chem. I started adding the vita-chem to the flakes and will add it with each feeding for a while. Water parameters are fine (No3 0-5, NO2-0, NH4-0, PO4-.01, Ca 400-450, pH 8-8.3, Alk -12 (not real stable these days). Am getting the trace elements from Sea-lab 28 blox. Hopefully, CB will get better over the next couple of months.
