Coral Beauty Angelfish

I'd like to start some reef action in my 55 gallon. I have a coral beauty. Will it mess with everything I try to grow?

It depends on your angel's personality. There's no guarantee that it will be safe or destructive.

I just added one to my reef tank. So far it has left all my corals alone. Fingers crossed!

IMO Coral Beauties are a 'must have' fish... I've had them in just about every tank since 1973 and never had a problem

Mine have never bothered corals.

Start testing your main parameters-calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and probably your biggest hurdles, nitrate and phosphate. The last two are your algae fertilizer, and you will want to ensure they are under control before cranking up the grow lights

They might also nip at CUC. Mine bit the snout off a nassarius snail.

Mine occasionally will nip on a brain that I have. I just feed it again and it does not bother. Beautiful fish and great rock and glass cleaner.

I have had one in every tank I have owned, which is around six.I had only one that picked at the polyps on my spas.

Model citizen in my reef before I went fish only. Keep them well fed and there won't be an issue.

IME, had one that nipped and had one that it not bother anything. So I would say hit can be hit or miss with them. It's considered an Angel, so add with caution.
