Coral Beauty in 8g?

JBM- That is the worst piece of advice.

DO NOT go buy the fish for your 8 gallon. Coral beauty, like all other angels need swimming room. They are cabable of reaching lengths of 4 inches, if not more. I had one in my 55 gallon and he used the WHOLE 55 gallons, and I thought he was a little cramped up.

And you cannot judge how a fish feels by looking at it. I mean sure, you could see a coral beauty in a 8 gallon that is swimming around and eating, but in due time he will grow and eventually die. We already are sticking fish in smaller homes, why stick them in something so small that you are destroying their lives.

Be smart about it.

"He says, these fish are yanked out of the ocean, thrown in a half filled 5 gallon bucket, bounced around in a boat, trucked to god knows where, shipped across the ocean, packed in holding tanks with hundreds of other coral beauty (which aren't supposed to be kept together), then when they reach the retailer sent home in a drop of water... and you think they can't be kept as the only fish in a peaceful 8 gallon aquarium. Excellent logic, so when I am in jail for beating my wife and locking her in the closet, your "business partner" can come rescue her and keep her locked in a bedroom the rest of her life

If I were you I'd sell my share of the business to your "partner". If he thinks this is a good decision, I wouldn't want him as my business partner.

The transit stage is temporary.
Aquarium is "permanent."

Why did you come on here to ask our opinions, and everyone gives a general consensus of no, then you start to argue. If your so adamant about adding the coral beauty, then do it, but everyone says no, and so do I. Its too small of a space for the angel to swim. Smallest I would go would be 25 gallons.
