Coral Beauty

Russter

Northern Reefer
Would it be OK to add a coral beauty into my tank which already has a half-black mimic tang, a couple of clowns, pearly dartfish and a scooter blenny? 90 gallon tank mixed reef.

Does yours nip at the corals?

No, I don't have too many corals, but I do have Duncans, which are an LPS coral. The only time when it pics at it are when I target feed the Duncans with mysis, but only doesn't go for the coral, just the mysis feeding it. But I don't mind, its a beautiful fish with a cool personality.

I just purchases my Coral Beauty about a month ago, but it is doing great. I added him to a 55 gallon established reef. Coral stocking consists of an anemone, anthelia, xenia, a small kenya tree, zoanthids, a small-fish-eating bubble coral, and a large colony of duncans. I have kept his belly full and he has not bothered any of my corals. He is a larger angel, as he is around a good 2.5 to 3 inches all ready. Although, I choose one of the less rambunctious CB my LFS had is stock.

Well, I picked up the Coral Beauty today. My Mimic Tang immediately started bullying the angel, so on went the tank blanket. I'm thinking blackout for the rest of the day and see how they get along later tonight. Things usually calm down after a day anyway.

i out a yellow tang in my tank the other day ( wife wanted it) with a Dejardini Tang which is the same body. After a few hours i had to watch the tank closely because the sailfin chased the yellow around the tank for hours. So i decided to step in and bully the sailfin for awhile myself and after about 10 attempts to wart the sailfin off he stopped. If it continues i would say its a good method to try. worked for me and a couple of others.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Just checked on them and things seem to have calmed down. The tang also has a bite mark on his side. LOL. That will learn 'em!
