I currently have Sarcophyton sp. (toadstool leather), Capnella sp. (kenya tree coral), and Alcyonium sp.(colt coral) in my aquarium. Before this I also had Sinularia sp. (knobby leather) and Sinularia dura (cabbage leather) in the tank. My toadstool wasn't looking good so I did some research and learned that sarcophyton and sinularia will wage chemical warefare on one another so the sinularia was removed. Will the corals that I still have in my aquarium coexist or will the toadstool, kenya, and colt also release chemicals? Niether the colt or kenya have shown signs of distress so I assume that if the toadstool is still releasing chemicals they are not botherd.
